His tenure at UCF can only be described now as Err Jordan.

And that is why the Knights should now cut ties with senior basketball player Marcus Jordan, the son of  NBA legend Michael Jordan.

The younger Jordan was arrested early Sunday morning in Omaha, Neb., and charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and obstructing officers, according to a news release. Police responding to a call at the Embassy Suites found hotel security trying to subdue Jordan, who was having an argument with two women in the hotel driveway at 2:11 a.m. CT.

Omaha police said the 21-year-old UCF senior was “animated, intoxicated and uncooperative” and it took several officers to subdue him.

This arrest comes on the heels of Jordan apparently propositioning a porn star over Twitter last month. Jordan quickly deleted the tweet and claimed somebody had played a trick on him.

But even if you exclude the arrest, the Twitter embarrassment and some other disciplinary issues, Jordan should be removed from the team because he clearly doesn’t want to be a part of the team. Not really. He is not enrolled in UCF summer classes and is the only member of the squad not working out with his teammates during the summer. While he is off galavanting in Omaha or Vegas or wherever, his teammates are working out in preparation for the upcoming season.

Jordan is said to be debating whether to return for his senior season or pursue business opportunities and perhaps play overseas.

After the latest arrest, there should be no debate.

UCF should make his decision for him and tell the son of Michael that he is no longer a member of the team.
